Boundary Waters. Experience peace of mind, and know how even if this is your first
trip. You will have to bring some personal items and other necessities (click here for a
"What to bring
list") but the rest is up to us. We offer
three complete equipment packages, the Special Explorer, the Complete
Deluxe and the Rockwood Kevlar Plus Packages. All of our proven
ultra-light packages and include the finest facilities, service,
equipment and food available.

Boundary Waters Families Explorer Package |
This is a basic outfitted package that takes advantage of our
convenient location to allow you to paddle the easily portaged,
sheltered lakes bordering Rockwood Lodge. This package includes:

Reservations and Policies |
- Deposit:
We request a deposit of $50 per person for complete outfitting or $50
per canoe for partial outfitting.
- The balance of your
account is due on your arrival.
- Early Returns:
We charge for the NEXT DAY but can refund equipment costs for subsequent
days. Total food costs cannot be refunded on any early return.
- Changes to
reservation: Change in group size must reach us at least 14 days
prior to arrival at Rockwood. We cannot adjust for any changes after that time and you
will be charged for the number of people requested originally.

Although
we supply the equipment, don't forget:
- 2 pairs of shoes
(tennis and hiking boots for around camp, aqua socks, sport sandals, boots for canoeing and portaging)
- 3 or more pairs of
socks
- clothing that can be
easily layered to accommodate the changing weather (T-shirt, flannel
shirt, sweatshirt)
- swimsuit
- pocketknife
- jacket or sweater
- hat with brim
- toilet articles
- bath towel
- sunglasses
- flashlight
- camera
- fishing gear (if
desired)
- sunscreen
- bug repellent
- good book
- rain gear
These items are
important to the success of your trip. Remember to keep it light because
you will have to carry it. A set of clean clothes left in the car for
after the trip is a nice idea.
